I think we're kinda missing the point of this ad - it's not saying you can choose the hot chick as your avatar, or that she is in the game waiting for you, or even that if you play this game you might land a chick like her.

She is there for the sole reason of catching your eye on the side of your internet browser, then quickly directing you to the game title. Advertising at its simplest.

I think it's safe to say that none of us here thought that we'd be seeing that chick again after clicking on the link.

Truth be told, I thought Eve was pretty darn hot when I bought the game. Its not that I wasn't going to buy the game, but it definitely helped. Sex sells, its just sad that its being overused and leaked onto an audience it was never meant for i.e. children. Its just that kinda of overadvertising that is making girls dress sluttier and give rise to more teenage pregnancies.

Its just human nature, we can't stop it. Humans enjoy sex and are aroused by intentions of such. Whether or not people are in control, to an extent they have to be attracted.

Statistically I'm sure it does a great job at selling products, but I couldn't care less about it when it comes to games. For me, it often gets in the way of me enjoying a game. Guild Wars is a nice example. 90% of the female armor is just hooker-wear. I don't know about anyone else, but if I'm playing a Warrior in a video game, they better damn well look like they're ready for battle, not a strip club.

Guild Wars is like a walking sexy ad... seriously, the absolutely whorish female armor sets, the female character models, the box art, etc. I mean, really, it's pretty obvious. Those are just 2 examples that are easy to spot. It's everywhere.

In GW women have style, in other games they are often merely a 'product' to sell or literally a pinnacle of whorism (couldn't find a better word

). It's most obvious with box art, though (prophecies and factions are neutral if you silence the fact that the woman is on the box, but nightfall and eotn are tad too much for my taste).

I guess we have simply advanced into an era when women boobs are enough circular with tons of small triangles to actually look attractive
